Time: 16:00 – 17:00
The Mysteries were the most sacred and secret teachings and practices in many of the world religions, in which the aspirant not only learnt, but more importantly, experienced for themselves their Divine centre. It meant learning about how the universe was constructed, what is a human being, and through symbols and actions (rituals) begun to experience the reality of “as above, so below”, the mystical union, knowing, or gnosis. The talk will explore simply some of these principles of the spiritual life and, briefly, their application in a variety of modern reflections of the Mysteries.
