A zoom Talk by Luke Ironside

Sunday 30th January –  6pm

Since our distant ancestors first gazed up at the night sky with a sense of wonderment, the contemplation of the firmament has evoked the deepest emotions within the hearts of humanity. What is it about the Cosmos which gives rise to such sentiments? Why have the greatest poets, artists, and mystics throughout history turned to the Universe as a source of inspiration and enlightenment? This talk will examine the relationship between the human being and the Cosmos we each inhabit and will provide an overview of the universal principles which bind us together in an integrated whole – a fundamental unity at the heart of the diversity of life.

Luke Michael Ironside is a Theosophical lecturer and writer from the UK and a member of the Theosophical Society, Adyar, and The Temple of the People, a Theosophical group based in Halcyon, California. He has lectured at lodges internationally and has written for various Theosophical journals around the world.

He formerly served as the President of the Pranava Lodge of the Theosophical Society in the Philippines, where he was a regular lecturer at the National Headquarters, and in 2018 was a speaker at the 142nd International Convention at Adyar.

Having a deep interest in Christian mysticism, Luke is also active in the Old Catholic Apostolic Church, where he serves as a cleric. At present, Luke is serving as the Director of the Virtual Centre of Theosophical Studies and as a Delegate-at-Large of The Temple of the People.
