The Pseudo-Occultism of Mrs A Bailey

, , ,

Contains notes on ‘A Treatise on Cosmic Fire’ by Basil Crump, with additional notes by Mrs Cleather, plus her own critique of ‘Initiation, Human & Solar’. Mrs Cleather was a member of Madame Blavatsky’s inner circle, subsequently travelling to the Far East where she met the exiled Panchen Lama, who asked her to reprint ‘The Voice of the Silence’. This firsthand acquaintance with both HPB & senior members of the Tibetan Hierarchy led her to view Mrs Bailey’s Christ-focused ‘Tibetan’ teacher with some scepticism – a view she held of all later claimants to Madame Blavatsky’s legacy.
