Kingsland knew HPB personally, and this is a rare example (the only exception perhaps being A P Sinnett) who attempted to write a full book length account of her life. There is also much teaching here – notably on the significance of the Higher Self in Theosophy, and an appendix reproduces Kingsland’s demolition of the Hodgson Report.
